V2C Approved for Slack for Nonprofits

We are excited to announce that V2C Inc has been approved for the Slack for Nonprofits program. Through this program, our organization now qualifies for Slack’s Complimentary Pro Plan, giving our team access to enterprise-grade communication and collaboration tools at no cost.

What Is Slack for Nonprofits?

Slack partners with TechSoup to validate eligible charities and nonprofits for discounted or free access to Slack’s platform. For organizations like V2C with fewer than 250 active users, this means a full upgrade to Slack’s Pro Plan at no charge.

Slack Pro includes unlimited message history, integrations with tools like Google Drive, Zoom, and Trello, group audio and video calls, and advanced workflow automation.

Why This Matters for V2C

Our volunteers and working group members are spread across different locations and time zones. Having a centralized, professional collaboration platform is essential for how we work. With Slack Pro, V2C can now:

  • Organize by working group: dedicated channels for AI, cybersecurity, web development, DevOps, networking, and design accessibility
  • Streamline onboarding: new volunteers can quickly find their team, access resources, and start contributing
  • Integrate our tools: connect Slack with GitHub, project management platforms, and other services our teams rely on
  • Keep knowledge accessible: unlimited message history means important discussions and decisions are never lost
